Reviews and User Experience Overall, reviewers and users consider the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57 a solid option for budget-conscious gamers, offering good value for its price.
  • Performance: The Intel Core i5-11400H processor and dedicated GPU provide good performance for casual gaming and daily use. Reviewers from The Gadget Flow note it runs smoothly without lag for many games, though newer AAA titles may require turning down graphics settings for optimal frame rates. The laptop maintains high CPU and GPU clocks and has decent thermals under stress, benefiting from Acer CoolBoost technology.
  • Display: The 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate is a key selling point for smooth, blur-free visuals during gameplay. However, some users mention the screen quality receives mixed feedback, with it not being the brightest panel available.
  • Design and Build: The laptop features a sturdy, all-black plastic build with red accents and a comfortable backlit keyboard that includes a numeric keypad. The port selection is good and includes Thunderbolt 4 support, a notable addition for a budget model.
