Tenda AC6 AC1200 Dual Band WiFi Router with 4 Antennas

Running both bands at the same time is what this buys you: the 5GHz band carries up to 867Mbps for a TV or laptop in the same room, while the 2.4GHz band keeps reaching the far bedroom at up to 300Mbps. The Tenda AC6 has four 6dBi antennas, plus beamforming to aim the signal at your devices rather than scattering it, and MU-MIMO so several devices can be served at once instead of taking turns, which is what actually helps in a busy house. You can manage it from a phone app, and it works as a router, repeater, access point, or in WISP mode. Be honest about your internet speed first. The AC6's advantage is the 5GHz band, which only helps if your subscription is fast enough to use it. On a connection under about 50Mbps the F6 delivers the same real-world result for less money. Will I get 867Mbps? Only between the router and a device over your local network, and only close by, since 5GHz loses strength through walls quickly. Your internet speed is still capped by your subscription and by the 100Mbps WAN port. Can it extend my existing Wi-Fi? Yes. Universal repeater mode picks up an existing network and rebroadcasts it to cover a far room or another floor.
