It is suitable for checking your home, family, pets, or office from your phone. Physical Lens Shielding for Privacy For stronger privacy control, the camera lens can hide upwards into the body when not in use. This physical lens shielding gives users peace of mind because privacy is protected at the source, not only through software settings. Encrypted Data Protection The camera uses an MJA1 security chip, fully encrypted data transmission, and AES-128 encryption for cloud data. These privacy features help protect video data, communication, and storage more securely. Local AI Human Detection The Xiaomi Smart Camera C201 uses a local AI human detection algorithm to detect people faster and more accurately without relying on cloud processing. When movement is detected, the camera can track it and send real-time alerts directly to your phone. Pet Detection and Tracking The camera can automatically detect and follow cats and dogs, helping users keep an eye on their pets while away from home. This feature is useful for pet owners who want to check movement and daily activity during the day. 360° Panoramic Coverage With its dual-axis pan-tilt motor, the camera can rotate smoothly up, down, left, and right. Users can control the viewing angle from the Xiaomi Home app for wider room coverage and fewer blind spots. Two-Way Voice Calls The built-in speaker and smart noise-cancelling microphone allow real-time two-way voice calls through the phone. This makes it easy to speak with family members, check on children, or talk to someone at home when you are away. Low-Light and Night Vision The high-sensitivity image sensor helps the camera keep colour images for longer in low-light conditions. For dark rooms, six built-in infrared illuminators provide clear night vision without producing visible red light that may disturb sleep. Wi-Fi 6 Connectivity The Xiaomi Smart Camera C201 supports Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b/g/n/ax on 2.4GHz. With Wi-Fi 6 support, it is designed to improve signal stability and smoother HD video playback when used with compatible networks. Flexible Video Storage The camera supports microSD card storage from 8GB to 256GB and cloud storage. H.265 encoding helps reduce bandwidth and storage usage while keeping playback smooth. MicroSD cards are not included and may need to be formatted before use. Smart Assistant Compatibility The camera works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant using compatible devices. This allows users to view the camera feed using voice commands where supported by the assistant and region. Easy Installation The Xiaomi Smart Camera C201 supports flat and inverted mounting. For inverted installation, users can adjust the image rotation inside the Xiaomi Home app to display the correct orientation.
